The Saugerties Town Court is a trial court located at 4 High Street, in the Town of Saugerties, which is located in Ulster County, New York. This court has jurisdiction over vehicle and traffic matters, small claims, evictions, civil matters and criminal offenses. The court is located within the 3rd Judicial District.
Judges of the New York Town and Village Courts are elected to four-year terms in local elections. To serve on this court, a person must be a state resident and a resident of the Town of Saugerties and must be at least 18 years old.
Justice Court Hours
The Office is open daily Monday through Friday (except for holidays) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Window Service is open from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

If you're visiting the Town Court or Town Court Clerks' Offices for the first time, here is a map of the High Street building with the Court Clerks' offices and the Court Room locations indicated in orange. There are 3 entrances indicated; for the Court, you would use the middle of the 3 entrances, as shown.
When you call the Town Court, it is VERY important that you leave your name, phone number and date of birth. This will prevent delays that can have a bad effect on you and on us.
On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Town Court is in session and if you call at those times, it is unlikely that you will reach a person. If you want to speak to a court representative, please choose a time other than Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

I87 North to Exit 20 (Saugerties). After toll, turn right on Route 212. Within a half mile, you'll see a traffic light with a Price Chopper on your right. At that traffic light intersection, turn left onto North Street. Within 100 yards, there will be a right-hand turn into a parking lot access road. The entrance to the Court is marked on a doorway to the building. The entrance to the Court is on the side of the building that you first encounter. If you drive around the building and park at the "front" parking lot, you will need to walk further to gain access to the Court.
From upstate Albany area -
