SAUGERTIES FARMERS MARKET 2024

115 Main Street, Saugerties, NY (Cahill School parking lot)
Saturdays May 25 - October 26 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.  (except September 28th)
 
Locally grown farm produce includes a wide variety of vegetables from arugula to zucchini, luscious orchard fruits and berries, artisan bread and baked goods (including gluten free), fresh laid eggs, delicious honey, maple syrup, jams and sauces, tasty regional cheeses, pastured meat and poultry, specialty mushrooms, fresh herbs, prepared foods, field-grown flowers, plants, and starts.  Products change seasonally.
 
Take home freshly harvested food grown, picked, and brought to market by local farmers.  Meet your neighbors and make new friends for lunch at the café tables under market umbrellas in the center of the marketplace or under the trees.  Weekly live music and Kids Art Corner.  There are special events scheduled throughout the market season (see below).

2024 Special Events

The first Saugerties Farmers Market took place in the summer of the year 2002.  2024 is their 23rd season.

• Opening Day: May 25—Opening Day is sponsored by Peggy Schwartz of Town & Country Liquors and will feature live music by Shinedown from the Rock Academy; Kids Art Corner with artist, Anita Barbour; and fresh local food, prepared foods, and local craft products brought to market by farmers, bakers, chefs, and creative makers.
• Farm Animal Day: August 31—animals to pet, feed, and talk to; pony rides; balloon animals; animal themed arts; face painting; antique tractors
• Halloween Tricks & Treats: October 26—costume contest, photo booth, pumpkin painting, apple dipping, hayrides.

"Pop-Up" Indoor Markets, around the Thanksgiving and Christmas/Hannukah Holidays

In 2024, there were 2 indoor markets held prior to Thanksgiving and Christmas/Hannukah holidays.  They were held in the Greco Senior Center, and allowed market goers to prepare themselves with gifts and/or great food, for the holidays.

Harvest Home Dinners
