ABOUT THE INTENDED USE PLAN
The Intended Use Plan is a document annually prepared by EFC to outline the planned use of the Clean Water State Revolving Fund. The Intended Use Plan acts as a roadmap for how EFC plans to allocate and use the fund to improve water quality and infrastructure in the state. The Clean Water State Revolving Fund supports projects that improve water quality, such as the construction of wastewater treatment facilities, stormwater management systems, or the rehabilitation of aging infrastructure.
The Intended Use Plan details:
- Funding priorities: The projects that will be eligible for funding in a given year. This often includes projects that address water pollution control, compliance with the state and federal laws, and projects aimed at improving water quality in specific communities.
- Project ranking: The Intended Use Plan prioritizes projects based on factors such as health risks, environmental impact, and readiness to proceed, including the development of acceptable engineering reports and construction schedules.
- Funding distribution: It describes how the funding will be allocated across different projects.
