Saugerties Library Fair

May 31, 2025, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

If the little carnival, face painting and petting zoo are coming to Saugerties on Saturday May 31st, then it's time for the fun-filled Saugerties Library Fair.  The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Saugerties Public Library rain or shine mostly under tents from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., located on the Division Street side of the library building.

It features its ever-popular book, plant sale, and bake sale.  Refreshments are available for sale including fresh popcorn, lemonade and coffee.

This year's live entertainment is provided by Saugerties Sings, playlists thanks to Joe Defino, community volunteer and Hope Rocks Founder, along with our local ukulele group.

Excitement builds when our inimitable "Good Humor Man" appears offering free ice cream while supplies last.  The Good Humor Man is also known as Bob Siracusano of Sawyers Motors and the Sawyer Automotive Foundation.

Diaz Ambulance, of Saugerties, will be offering free bike helmets while supplies last.

A  host of local organizations also will be on hand to inform the community of the wealth of services offered.  Among them are the Saugerties League of Voters.  Friends' volunteers will be on hand with membership information about the role the volunteer group plays in providing funding for items for computers, the summer reading program, and two $1000 scholarships to Saugerties High School graduating students, the ever-popular virtual author talks, and free passes to a host of museums.

Saugerties Police Department is on hand to provide safety for all.
