Conference Room. Conservation Advisory Committee - 3rd Thursday of every month @ 7:30 pm in the Town Hall Conference Room Members: Sandra Thorpe Brian Sawchuk James Barbour Josh Randall Gerry Marzec Mary Anne Wrolsen Elizabeth Shafer Purpose/Mission - To survey and monitor area natural resources and environmental conditions and make recommendations to Town Board regarding conservation and protection of our natural resources and environment. To work with and advise planning and zoning boards to ensure that development is environmentally sound and planned with the future in mind. Economic Development Committee - 1st Monday of every month from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm in the Town Hall Conference Room Members: Barbara Budik Alicia McCaig Marion Vail Cindy Saporito Jerry Schackne Kevin Michaels John Bassler Purpose/Mission - To encourage and support infrastructure developments and improvements for new and existing business. To help new businesses navigate permitting process and facilitate possible zoning and planning needs that may arise. To work with town and village to attract new business, promote current local business, and develop tourism and the arts as viable economic resources for Saugerties. Ethics Committee Members: Michaela Graham Constance Catalinotto Blanche Duffy Glenn Forman Jo Galante Cicale Green Energy Task Force Members: Patti Kelly (Chairperson) Mike Harkavy Janus Welton Purpose/Mission - To look at ways to incorporate energy saving measures and environmentally friendly policy into municipal properties; to promote sustainable economic development; to encourage "green" building and planning practices throughout the town; to interact with local school systems through educational outreach. Historic Preservation Commission - 3rd Monday of every month @ 7 pm in the Conference Room at the Town Hall Members: Josh Randall (Chairperson) Michael Sullivan Smith Myles Putman Susan Puretz Barry Benepe Purpose/Mission - To support the Town’s Historic Preservation Ordinance- to protect, enhance, and promote landmarks and historic districts and help preserve the historic, architectural, archeological and cultural heritage of the Town. Planning Board - 3rd Tuesday of every month @ 7:30 pm in the Senior Citizens' Building on Market Street William Creen Carole Furman (Vice Chair) Paul Andreassen Tom Francello C. Howard Post (Chair) Dan Weeks Ken Goldberg Juanity Wilsey (Secretary) Bill Hayes (Alternate) Purpose/Mission - To review and approve site development plans to ensure any proposed development is in compliance with Town Zoning Code and is in accordance with goals outlined in the Town Comprehensive Plan. To review and submit advisory opinions concerning applications for variances and amendments to the zoning regulations. Property Assessment Advisory Committee Members: Jamie Fine Ron LeBlanc Nelson Burhans Recreation Advisory Board - second Wednesday of every month @ 7 pm in the Senior Citizen's Building on Market Street Members: Gladys Hutton Dean Fabiano Priscilla Orr Joe Gavner Mike Tiano William Creen Jr. Ron LeBlanc Kevin Pendergast Joseph Quirk Joe Gavner Purpose/Mission - To oversee and advise on all town parks, and make recommendations when necessary to Town Board. To coordinate with Town Parks & Recreation dept. on use of fields and for summer recreation program. Zoning Board of Appeals - 1st Monday of every month @ 7 pm in the Senior Citizens' Building on Market Street Joe Roberti Sr. (Chair) Jeanne Goldberg (Vice Chair) Henry Rua Brian Sawchuk Joe Mayone Kate Blundell (Secretary) Samantha Dedrick (Alternate) Purpose/Mission - In strict accordance with Town’s Zoning Law, the ZBA hears and decides any question brought before it involving the interpretation of zoning law; hears and decides appeals from any decisions or determinations of zoning enforcement officer (building inspector); grants variances to provisions of zoning law.
