The majority of the Saugerties Town Offices are located at 4 High Street in the Village of Saugerties. They are open for business Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., except for holidays. (See the "Calendar" for details of when the Town Hall offices are closed for holidays.)
The Police Department, which is housed in the Town Hall Buildings, are open 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
The building that houses these offices has been used by many businesses since the early 1900's. It was purchased and renovated by the Town in 2002 from the Town's share of proceeds from Woodstock 94'. This facility combined two town office buildings, making it more convenient and accessible to the public because prior to the consolidation the offices operated many miles apart.
In its short history as Town Hall, the site has undergone two renovations in order to run more efficiently. The Town Municipal Office Complex at 4 High Street accommodates the Supervisor's Office, Town Clerk's Office, Tax Receivers Office, Assessor's Office, Accounting Office, Justice Court, Police Department, HUD, Lighthouse TV23, Building Department, Town Planner, Planning Board Office and Economic Development Office. The offices of the Parks & Recreation, Water & Sewer and Highway Departments are located at their respective sites. Besides doing their necessary business at the Town Municipal Office Complex, residents are welcome to tour the facility that came to be and we are most proud of because of the Town's progressive growth.
